This listing is a (mostly) complete discography of The Spacious Mind, and some related bands such as Holy River Family Band and solo releases. Lately this list appears to have become the Countryman Records catalog!

I have also included select comments, taken directly from the liner notes of each release. Thus, all information is understood to be true and verified to a certain extent.

In March 1995, TSM played a number of gigs in Belgium and Holland. Two of these gigs were performed semi-acoustically; meaning vocals, two acoustic guitars, e-bow, keyboards and percussion, and when the band, as well as the audience, found the performances highly enjoyable, they immediately decided that once back home recordings should be done with this instrumentation.

So, with freshly written songs, TSM entered the studio and the result is what you're now holding. Both music and lyrics are showcasing a new side of our five pals; a sad, sometimes almost desperate feeling is evident throughout the record, but since love tend to behave in such manners, they couldn't possibly do it another way, could they?

Finally, what about the title? Well, as they once put it themselves, "a secret inbetween your mind and mine".

Recorded on October 26, 1999, in Skogsnäs, in the middle of the deep north Swedish forests. The village, being Sweden's biggest commune, or community rather, offered settings inspiring enough for the band to simply flow into higher spheres.

The time limits of a CDR, onto which the show was recorded, unfortunately causes an abrupt ending on the master, and the last fifteen minutes or so are forever lost in the minds of those few in the audience. To make the listening experience smoother, we opted for a short fade before the music was cut short.

GPH was recorded at Space Your Face Studios, produced by TSM, engineered by Douglas Knightbridge and The Golden Master. Mixed by Douglas, mastered by Faster Faster. Basic tracks (drums, bass, keys and guitars) were recorded live in the studio June ‘06, and then overdubs and mixing continued on and off until Faster gave us the final master on New Years Eve.

The Brotherhood Of Eternal Love came into existence (as an entity, if not in name) in the late summer of 1998, when myself [Jens], Niklas, and Arne decided to offer, free of charge, an itinerant musical setting for use in local schools, restaurants, conferences, exhibitions and more. Supported financially by the municipality, the act was billed as Den Ambulerande Ljudskulpturen (The Ambulating Soundsculpture), and existed for six months. Two of these were dedicated to rehearsals in which we built up a strong musical communion and understanding between each other, and the remaining four saw us get into some heavy improvisation during almost sixty performances.

Interestingly enough, most gigs took place in front of six to twelve year old kids; one could be forgiven for expecting them being much to young to care for thirty minutes long pieces of rather abstract music, but in fact most of the time these kids were our most appreciating audience. Generally, our performances grew more dense, and, perhaps, more avant-garde, as the age of our spectators rose. Only two shows were played at a regular concert hall, and they soon turned into esoteric midnight rituals. Billed as "The Drone-Ah-Bone Far-Out Show" and "God Is Alive And Well In A Sugarcube" (a third one, "No Bone In The Drone", was unfortunately cancelled), these two happenings both came in at well over two hours of non-stop music.

The piece on this disc Green Morning Baby is not a straight recording of what an actual gig could sound like (to mark the differences we opted for a change of name to The Brotherhood of Eternal Love on this release), instead we took great advantage of the possibilities offered in a studio. Thus there are plenty of overdubs and layers of instruments, but the actual feel of our live performances, especially those of a slightly more eclectic vein, is still very much present. Hopefully it'll be to your liking.

Several kids described their experience with our music as walking under water, meeting dinosaurs, or dancing in the jungle, and that's something we've certainly taken great pleasure in doing while recording Green Morning Baby.
